John Hill
Director of Special Missions

John Hill is the Director of Special Missions at Pro Star Aviation, where he leads the development of specialized aircraft solutions for government, law enforcement, and mission-focused operators.
John began his aviation career in 1984 after earning his Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification from East Coast Aero Tech. Over the next four decades, he built extensive experience across avionics, aircraft modifications, engineering, technical sales, and business development, working with aircraft ranging from small piston airplanes and turboprops to business jets and complex special mission platforms.
Prior to joining Pro Star Aviation in 2005, John held leadership positions with several respected aviation organizations, including managing avionics departments at both Garrett Aviation (now StandardAero) and Columbia Air Services. These roles broadened his technical knowledge and operational experience while establishing a foundation for his future work in aircraft modification and special mission programs.
Since joining Pro Star Aviation, John has played a pivotal role in numerous aircraft certification and modification programs, helping customers develop and implement advanced mission capabilities tailored to their unique operational requirements. Known for his innovative approach to problem-solving and customer-focused leadership, he has earned a reputation for identifying creative, practical solutions that bridge technical expertise with real-world operational needs. His contributions have been instrumental in the continued growth and success of Pro Star Aviation’s Special Missions division.
Outside of business aviation, John enjoys spending time with his wife, two adult daughters, and extended family and friends. A lifelong New Hampshire resident and passionate hockey enthusiast, he still enjoys getting on the ice whenever he can.
