Technician Positions Filled to Meet High Demand

(Londonderry, NH) August 11, 2022 — Pro Star Aviation, an innovative aerospace modification center, has increased its team of technicians to meet the high demand for business aviation maintenance and installations. New Maintenance Technicians; Sean Bresnahan, Joseph Daley, Danielle Vezina, a Structural Technician, Andrew Hixson, and Installation Technician Eric Lantigua. 

Sean began his career in aviation as an Aircraft Structural Mechanic in the US Airforce. With twenty-two years of experience in various positions ranging from Mechanical Engineer to Business Development. He spent the last three years as a Maintenance Technician at American Airlines.

Danielle Vezina has twenty-five years of aviation maintenance expertise, most recently working on the Bombardier Challenger and Global aircraft. She has extensive experience on Gulfstream aircraft, served as an instructor at the National Aviation Academy, and was an Aircraft Maintenance Manager at Daniel Webster College Flight School. 

Joseph served as an Air Force and Massachusetts Air National Guard A-10 Fighter Pilot for twenty-two years and recently completed the AMT program at the National Aviation Academy in Concord, MA. 

Andy serves in the US Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic on a C130 based in Fort Dix, NJ. He achieved his Bachelor of Sciences in Business at Southern New Hampshire University and has over ten years of experience in aviation.

Eric has provided avionics installation and troubleshooting for the past five years. Recently he served as a Flight Line Readiness Technician for Boeing performing component installation, troubleshooting, and repair.

Enhancing the Maintenance Team’s Structure

(Londonderry, NH) June 7, 2022 — Pro Star Aviation, an innovative aerospace modification center, announced today the promotion of Ed Monaghan III as the new Director of Maintenance. With significant growth, Pro Star Aviation made strategic changes to enhance the team’s structure.

Ed Monaghan III attended the Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in OK and launched his Aircraft Maintenance career with American Eagle Airlines in Boston, MA. Ed joined the Pro Star team in 2005 as an Aircraft Maintenance technician, moving up to Chief Inspector. “I’m enthusiastic and honored to receive this promotion- new Director of Maintenance at Pro Star. This is an opportunity for our team to grow and maximize our capabilities to service business aviation in New England,” stated Ed Monaghan.

(Londonderry, NH) April 21, 2022 — Pro Star Aviation, an innovative special missions aerospace modification center, announced today that it has completed and delivered two special mission Challenger 650 aircraft utilizing several FAA STCs approved by their STC ODA.

The aircraft modifications included a lightweight missionized interior, multiple operator stations, equipment racks, a mission power system, and a supplemental in-air cabin cooling system.  The team integrated numerous mission radios and antennas, including a belly radome with highly adaptable & flexible payload mounting provisions, tail strakes, and a retractable camera system supporting a twenty-inch camera.

Aligning our Growth with Talent

(Londonderry, NH) November 09, 2021 — Pro Star Aviation, an innovative aerospace modification center, announced today that Melissa Raddatz has joined their team as the Sales Manager for the Great Lakes region.

Melissa brings over a decade of experience in Aviation. She attended the University of Wisconsin and achieved her Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management and her Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics License and Associates in Aircraft Electronics at Fox Valley Technical College. She currently serves on several NBAA Committees such as the Maintenance Committee, Sub Committee Connectivity Member, and the NBAA Scholarship Committee. 

Melissa began her career as a Line Maintenance Technician for Gulfstream in 2007, later serving as a Program Coordinator with the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI).   In 2011 she worked at Duncan Aviation as an Avionics Installation Technician and most recently served as a Regional Sales Manager for Flying Colours supporting aircraft maintenance, avionics, and paint and interior needs.

Adding Capabilities To Work on Larger Business Jets

(Londonderry, NH) October 13th, 2021 — Pro Star Aviation, an innovative aerospace modification center, announced today it has successfully achieved its FAA Class IV rating. The new rating allows Pro Star to perform maintenance on aircraft over 12,500 GTOW. Adding a new classification of aircraft increases Pro Star’s capabilities for ON-THE-FLY maintenance and additional services in-house. For over 20 years, Pro Star has worked extensively on mid-size aircraft such as the Challenger 600 series, Hawker 800 series, and as an authorized Pilatus Service Center the PC-24.

For Bombardier Challenger 604 Business Jets

(Londonderry, NH) May 5th , 2021 — Pro Star Aviation, an innovative aerospace modification center, announced today its collaboration with Collins Aerospace to retrofit Bombardier Challenger 604 aircraft with the new state-of-the-art Collins Pro Line Fusion integrated cockpit. 

 Collins announced the existing EFD-4077 CRT Displays installed in the Challenger 604 were becoming obsolete and phased out after 2023.  In addition, the Pro Line 4 FMS software would no longer support the new functionality required for the new airspace requirements such as PBN, RNAV, and ADS-B. 

“The Pro Line Fusion upgrade brings this venerable aircraft into the 21st century. It literally leapfrogs an entire generation of Avionics equipment to the current production equipment of today,” stated Jeff Shaw, Director of Business Development.

The new Collins Pro Line Fusion upgrade provides enhanced operational capabilities, increases aircraft value, and meets NextGen requirements without parts obsolescence concerns. Transition to the Pro Line Fusion will be straightforward. Baseline features include easy navigation with no hidden menus, three 14.1″ widescreen LCDs, industry’s first touch-control primary flight displays, synthetic vision and optional satellite and multi-scan radar. All of these features help pilots fly with precision, safety and situational awareness anywhere, anytime.

Recognition of All Eligible Technicians Participation

(Manchester, NH) March 18, 2021 – Pro Star Aviation, a premier innovative aerospace modification facility, has received the respected FAA Diamond Award. In 1991 this award was established to promote and encourage employers and technicians to foster initial and recurrent training. 

There are two levels of awards offered by the FAA, based on the percentage of participation, Gold and Diamond.  With all eligible Technicians receiving their Individual AMT Certificate of Training, Pro Star was honored to receive the Diamond Award. “Our mission is to provide safety and excellence to all of our customers.
