Pro Star Aviation Technician Retires After 17 Years with the Company and a Five-Decade Career in Aviation Maintenance

LONDONDERRY, N.H. — Glenn Robbins, a longtime aviation technician with Pro Star Aviation, has received the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award, recognizing 50 years of service in aviation maintenance. Robbins received the award in June 2026 as he prepared to retire from Pro Star Aviation after 17 years with the company.

Named for Charles E. Taylor, the mechanic who designed and built the engine for the Wright Brothers’ first successful powered flight, the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award recognizes aviation maintenance professionals who have dedicated at least 50 years to the industry.

Robbins began his aviation career in the U.S. Navy as a Hydraulic Structural Technician before earning his Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate from East Coast Aero Tech in 1981. His career has included commercial and business aviation maintenance on aircraft ranging from the Douglas DC-3 and Boeing 737 and 757 to the Airbus A320 family and Bombardier Challenger.

Robbins spent more than 20 years with U.S. Airways, performing scheduled and line maintenance and serving as Lead Technician on numerous occasions. He also served on the airline’s Safety Committee before becoming Director of Maintenance at Great Bay Aviation.

In 2009, Robbins joined Pro Star Aviation as an Aviation Technician, bringing decades of maintenance experience to the company. Over the next 17 years, he supported Pro Star’s customers and aircraft while contributing his technical knowledge and experience to the organization.
