Former Gogo and Satcom Direct Product Support Engineer strengthens Pro Star Aviation’s expertise in business connectivity and avionics modernization

LONDONDERRY, N.H. — Pro Star Aviation has appointed Zachariah Service as Technical Sales Manager in avionics, bringing a strong technical background in satellite communications, aircraft connectivity, and avionics systems to the company’s sales team. With experience supporting complex connectivity and networking solutions for Satcom Direct and Gogo, Service will employ his expertise to help Pro Star Aviation customers identify solutions that fit their aircraft and operational needs.

Service began his aviation career as an avionics technician with Bombardier in Hartford, Connecticut, while earning his A&P certificate. He later joined Satcom Direct in 2021 after receiving an AeroIT certification through an NBAA scholarship. Beginning in technical support, Service advanced to a Product Support Engineer role focused on satellite communications, routing systems, and networking. Following Gogo’s acquisition of Satcom Direct in 2024, he continued to support Gogo’s product portfolio, including the AVANCE, Galileo, and 5G platforms. 

Service’s highly specialized experience in aircraft connectivity provides a strong foundation for his role at Pro Star Aviation, where he was eager to apply that expertise across a wider range of aircraft and avionics systems. 

“My background has been highly specialized in satellite communications, and I really wanted the opportunity to work with the broader range of avionics systems and aircraft platforms that Pro Star supports,” Service said. “I was also drawn to the company’s direction and culture. In his new role at Pro Star Aviation, Service will work directly with aircraft owners, operators, and maintenance teams to understand their avionics and connectivity requirements and help identify solutions that support each aircraft’s mission. His experience on the technical support side of the industry gives him insight into the specific challenges customers face when evaluating new equipment and upgrades.

Outside of aviation, Service enjoys golfing, hiking, and visiting national parks with his wife. Together, they hope to visit every national park in the U.S.
