Pro Star Aviation Completes Milestone 96-Month Inspection on a Pilatus PC-24
The completion marks one of the very first 96-month inspections performed in the United States on a Pilatus PC-24.
LONDONDERRY, N.H., October 29, 2026 — Pro Star Aviation has completed a 96-month inspection on a Pilatus PC-24 at its Portland facility. While the industry would indicate this level of maintenance is considered a C-check, the work technically falls under Pilatus’ MSG-3 (Maintenance Steering Group-3) logic.
The 96-month inspection is a heavy maintenance event that occurs after 8 years of service or 4,800 active flight hours. This milestone marks one of the first completed 96-month inspections on the PC-24, the most extensive scheduled maintenance interval in the aircraft’s service life.
“It’s amazing that eight years have passed since our first dealer delivery of the incredible PC-24 Super Versatile Jet. This particular airplane remains with the original owner having served him well on a wide variety of missions,” said Michael Kenny, Vice President of Pro Star Aviation. “Completing the important 96-month major service event was a very important milestone handled with care and precision by our Portland, ME location.”
During the inspection, Pro Star Aviation’s technicians inspected areas of the aircraft that receive less frequent attention during routine maintenance. They examined structural and system components, performed required functional and operational tests, and addressed specific maintenance requirements under the Pilatus PC-24’s approved maintenance program.
Pro Star also evaluated the aircraft for any significant signs of corrosion, wear, and other conditions that could affect the performance and continued operation of the PC-24. The company provided consistent updates and channels of communication with the aircraft’s owners, allowing the process to run smoothly, with no issues reported upon the PC-24’s return to service.
“Pro Star has supported the PC-24 at every point of its eight-year inspection cycle with flexibility and cooperation,” said Todd Hotes, the aircraft’s Chief Pilot. “Reaching the end of the aircraft’s maintenance schedule alongside them has truly been a great experience.”
