Gulfstream G280 Operator Details Operational Impact of Gogo Galileo HDX
After approximately 48 flight hours, the operator reports reliable international connectivity, simultaneous use by eight passengers and three crew members, and real-time maintenance support.
LONDONDERRY, N.H., September 30, 2026 — After Pro Star Aviation completed a Gogo Galileo HDX installation, a Gulfstream G280 operator reported reliable inflight connectivity across domestic and international operations, including transatlantic flights.
Reliable Connectivity Under Real-World Demand
Gogo Galileo HDX uses the Eutelsat OneWeb Low-Earth Orbit satellite network to provide high-speed, low-latency connectivity for business aircraft.
Pro Star completed the Gogo Galileo HDX installation within the planned 10-day window and coordinated the installation, Part 135 documentation, testing and activation required to return the G280 to service on schedule.
During a return flight from Portugal, eight passengers and three crew members streamed content, worked and communicated simultaneously, with no reported interruptions.
Real-Time Maintenance Support Before Landing
During a transatlantic flight, a flight attendant used FaceTime to show the aircraft’s director of maintenance an issue with a jump seat—demonstrating the system’s value beyond the passenger cabin.
The live video allowed the DOM to identify a seatbelt obstruction and guide the crew through a solution before landing.
“It used to be that if they had an issue, they could call me, but the service was not very dependable,” the DOM said. “Now they can call me, FaceTime me and send high-definition pictures from their devices, which gives me more information.”
Connectivity as an Operational Capability
Reliable connectivity also allows the owner and crew to coordinate diversions, added fuel stops and destination changes with the ground team before landing.
The connectivity allows the owner and his wife, who both lead companies, to continue calls, messages and other work throughout the flight.
“It’s definitely giving him time back,” the DOM said. “It’s enhancing the machine that we are flying in.”
“For owners, operators and directors of maintenance, connectivity is no longer simply a cabin amenity—it is an operational capability,” said Jeff Shaw, director of sales and marketing for Pro Star Aviation.
